Concord Maritime is pleased to announce the addition of Chartworld Maritime’s 114,809-dwt Aframax ‘Star Osprey’, Samsung-built 2003, to the Dakota Tankers pool.  The addition will increase the Dakota fleet size to ten vessels contributed by four partners including third party participants – Atlas Maritime, Chartworld Maritime, and Emarat Maritime.

Launched last summer, Dakota has steadily built its presence in the global spot Aframax markets.  Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut with recently launched offices in the U.K., the Company is staffed by a team of senior tanker pool executives.

Chartworld Maritime was founded nearly half a century ago and today provides technical and commercial ship management services to its group of private shipping entities.  Chartworld operates in virtually all the shipping sectors including bulkers, containers, tankers, and reefers.  Chartworld has a tanker fleet that includes five Aframaxs, two LR1s, and four MRs.  In addition, the Company has newbuilding tankers on order.
